Juniors will have yearbook and student ID pictures taken that day and may wish to bring a change of clothes. Students should wear their band polo and choice of shorts and shoes. This event has been added to our band calendar. The band will perform at the Calling the Pack pep rally on August 7. No jeans! You should also wear athletic shoes for our marching rehearsals to help avoid injury - no flip-flops, sandals, or boots. Wear sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and shorts. Bring your 1-gallon jug filled with water every day! Dress appropriately for hot weather! We'll be finished outside by 10 am each day but it will still be hot. ![]() Those without forms on file will observe our marching rehearsals so that they will not be too far behind once they have submitted their forms and are clear to participate.īand camp prep - it is very important that you are getting enough rest and are drinking plenty of water! You should be drinking water throughout the day and not just during our outside rehearsal time. These forms must be on file for you to participate in our marching rehearsals but you should attend camp even if you do not have your forms on file. Trumpets - our clinician has a conflict with another camp and will arrive late each day. You will not need concert instruments after Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday the final afternoon rehearsals will cover the TMEA etudes so you'll also need your concert instruments on those days. You'll need your marching instruments each day of camp. We'll start learning the drill once we have finished marching evaluations so it is essential that you attend camp every day! Our drill writer has completed the opener and we will begin learning drill soon! We will review marching fundamentals and begin making drill assignments during band camp. Our wind and percussion arrangers have made their final updates on the music, and parts have been posted in Google Classroom along with an mp3 file of the complete show that includes the pre-show audio. I am very excited about this year's show - BLUEprints! Band camp begins on Monday, and I cannot wait to see everyone next week!
